It was a warm, sunny afternoon in Epping. Jamie and his 2 friends, Mark and Sean, were walking happily in the forest, telling stories of their contempo holidays.

All of a sudden, while they were enjoying their walk, Mark's human foot hit something and he fell over. As he got up, he spotted something sticking out from the ground: the corner of a brown, dusty box. The three curious friends reached excitedly for the box, but it was too deep into the ground, which meant they would take to dig then as to go the box out. Withal, it was getting dark and so they decided to comprehend the box with leaves and return the next day.

The following afternoon, the boys rushed to the hidden spot in the woods with a small shovel. As shortly every bit they got there, they started digging enthusiastically, and after an hr of exhausting effort, the three finally managed to pull the mysterious box out. Mark opened the box carefully, and what they saw in at that place took their breath abroad: dozens and dozens of small-scale, gold coins!

Afterward, they took the breast to the law and found out that someone had stolen those coins from the local museum and hidden them in the wood. The museum was offer a three-hundred pound reward to anyone who found them. The 3 friends were now proud and happy that they had discovered the stolen treasure. But they were also famous, as their story and picture appeared on the front page of the local newspaper!

ПЕРЕВОД ТЕКСТА:

Внезапно, во время того как они наслаждались своей прогулкой, Марк запнулся ногой обо что-то и упал. Когда он поднялся, то у видел что-то торчащее из земли: угол коричневого, пыльного ящика. Трое любопытных друга в волнении потянулись за ящиком, но он был глубоко в земле, говоря о том, что им придется глубоко рыть, чтобы его вытащить. Однако, темнело, поэтому они решили прикрыть ящик листвой и вернуться на следующий день.

На следующий день мальчики поспешили к тайному месту в лесу с небольшой лопатой. Как только они добрались до туда, они с воодушевлением начали копать, и после целого часа изнуряющих усилий эти трое смогли вытащить загадочный ящик. Марк осторожно открыл ящик, и увиденное внутри захватило их дух: дюжины и дюжины маленьких золотых монет!

Позже они отнесли ящик в полицию и узнали, что кто-то украл эти монеты из местного музея и спрятал их в лесу. Музей предлагал вознаграждение в триста фунтов тем, кто найдет их. Трое друзей были горды и счастливы, от того что они обнаружили спрятанное сокровище. Но они также прославились, так как их история и фотография появилась на передней странице местной газеты!
